Share

Robert Kopfstein, a reading, literature and linguistics teacher at Saddleback College, has been awarded a Fulbright grant as an exchange professor in France for the 1987-88 academic year, the U.S. Information Agency announced. That agency administers the federally sponsored Fulbright program, in which a professor in the United States temporarily changes places with one in a foreign country.

Kopfstein will teach English at the Institute Universitaire de Technologie of Paul Sabatier University in Toulouse. His exchange professor, Francoise Lavinal, will come to Saddleback to teach classes in English and French.

Kopfstein is one of 60 Americans to be awarded a Fulbright grant this academic year for work in France. A member of Saddleback’s faculty since 1980, Kopfstein earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in English from Cal State Long Beach. He also holds a master of science degree in reading from Cal State Fullerton and a doctorate in medieval studies from USC.
