Your typical Southern rock ‘n’ roll fan was much better behaved Sunday at a reunion of Lynyrd Skynyrd in Nashville--an event that, according to concert organizer Charlie Daniels, marks the musical South’s “rising again.” “I told one of the guys from my record label, ‘I’m going to show you what’s going on down South and you go back to New York and tell them about it’,” said Daniels after a 90-minute set. The surviving members of the Lynyrd Skynyrd group were reunited at the 13th annual Volunteer Jam for the first time since the band lost three members in a plane crash 10 years ago. The reunited group, including five who survived the plane crash, plans to release an album next month.
