Tustin : Chairman Named for U.N. Day Celebration
The president of a local pharmaceutical manufacturing company has been selected chairman of this year’s Orange County United Nations Day celebration, set for Oct. 24.
Thomas T. Tierney, president of VitaTech International Inc., is also head of the Laguna Art Museum Board of Trustees, a director of the UC Irvine Foundation and a member of the Orange County chapter of the United Nations Assn.
The Orange County celebration of the 42nd U.N. anniversary will include a peace conference at Chapman College in Orange. The theme of the conference will be the International Year of Shelter, which will include a presentation of problems and solutions concerning Orange County’s estimated 5,000 homeless people.
