Texas Ex-Millionaire Free; Sentenced as Drug Kingpin

ANTHONY, Tex. —
Rex Cauble, who lost his multimillion-dollar ranching empire for heading a ring that smuggled tons of marijuana, was released Friday from La Tuna federal correctional institution to spend a month in a Dallas halfway house. Cauble, 73, was released after completing a five-year prison sentence, less time off for good behavior.
