Los Alamitos 30, Kennedy 0--Frank Beckton ran for three touchdowns in Handel Stadium.
Beckton, who gained 74 yards in 21 carries, scored on a pair of four-yard runs and a fourth-quarter one-yard run. Griffin quarterback Todd Gragnano completed 8 of 13 passes for 137 yards, including a 24-yard scoring pass play to Sky Dubourdieu.
Kennedy was held to just three first downs and 61 total yards in the first half. The Irish drove to the Los Alamitos 10-yard line in the second quarter, but quarterback Pete Montara’s pass was intercepted in the end zone. Montara completed 12 of 28 passes for 130 yards.
Jon Cisneros led the Griffin receivers with 8 catches for 112 yards.
