Continental Airlines will begin daily transcontinental nonstop service from three California cities--San Jose, Ontario and San Diego--to its hub in Newark, N.J., on Oct. 15, with MaxSaver fares $147 one way. Continental also has started twice-daily, nonstop service between San Jose and Houston, along with four additional daily flights between Los Angeles and San Jose.
