Baker Returns to Work After Night in Hospital

WASHINGTON —
White House Chief of Staff Howard H. Baker Jr. was back at his desk Wednesday after being hospitalized overnight for a reaction to antibiotics used to treat an intestinal problem. Baker, 61, suffered pain from diverticulitis, an inflammation of the intestinal tract.
