One of the two owners of two Rottweiler dogs that assaulted a physician and attacked other people and dogs in a Brentwood neighborhood has surrendered to authorities, the Los Angeles city attorney’s office said. Eileen F. Benyo, 23, posted $10,000 bail and was released after turning herself in at Santa Monica police headquarters. Her arraignment on 21 misdemeanors and 10 leash-law infractions is scheduled for Oct. 14. Benyo and Robert Henderson had disappeared last week after an attorney said the pair would surrender to face the charges filed Sept. 4, authorities said. Henderson is still being sought. The dogs were impounded after assaulting four people in Brentwood, including Dr. Jerome Helman, who was mauled while jogging July 23 and underwent more than four hours of surgery to close his wounds. The Rottweilers remain at the West Los Angeles Animal Shelter.
