‘Bypassing Peace’ in Nicaragua

Share

We all need to be absolutely beside ourselves at the prospect of our government not supporting nonviolent negotiations in Central America such as the most recent peace plan. Our government officials can cop out forever and blame it on the Soviets but only if we let them. How much longer will we, as citizens of this country, stand by and allow this to happen? We must make a decision about war. That decision must be that war does not work as a means of solving conflicts. This issue and our decision must be placed right in front of our presidential candidates so they in turn will be answerable to us if they hope to be elected.
