School Funds
As a retired educator, I applaud Kent S. Moore’s (Sept. 23, Letters) suggestion to send those tax rebates we will be receiving (thanks to the foolishness of our governor) to the school district of our choice. Great idea--mine will go to the Los Angeles Unified School District.
I had planned to send the check back to Deukmejian but I wasn’t sure he would get the point. After reading your editorial about the governor vetoing the AIDS education bill (“Crawling in Circles,” Sept. 23), I have concluded he thinks only of his feud with Honig. Certainly he isn’t thinking of the children of California.
