ICN Biomedicals Net for Quarter Down 6%

ICN Biomedicals, a Costa Mesa manufacturer of research chemicals and instruments, reported net income of $936,000 for the third quarter of fiscal 1987, down 6% from $995,000 posted in the same period a year earlier. Revenues for the quarter ended Aug. 31 rose 3% to $10.6 million from the $10.3 million in 1986.

ICN Biomedicals attributed the increase in quarterly revenues to improved sales of biotechnology and diagnostic products.
