“Mannequin,” the comedy-fantasy starring Andrew McCarthy and Kim Cattrall, got terrible reviews when it opened theatrically, but those pans certainly haven’t scared video fans away. It’s No. 2 on the Billboard magazine video rental chart and may unseat “ ‘Crocodile’ Dundee” as the top rental. If “Mannequin” does make it to the top, it probably won’t be there long, though--”Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home” is due to enter the rental chart in the next week or two. After a relatively slow start, “Hoosiers” is finally living up to industry expectations, bolting to No. 4 on the rental chart. Newcomers “Raising Arizona” (No. 15) and “Angel Heart” (No. 23) look to be Top 10 material. Expected to be a sleeper rental hit, “The Stepfather” (No. 28) still hasn’t attracted a big rental audience. The animated smash “An American Tail” continues to top the sales chart, which measures sales to retailers and distributors. Other sales charts: “Jane Fonda’s Low-Impact Aerobic Workout” and “Jane Fonda’s New Workout” lead the health and fitness chart. “Consumer Reports: Cars” is No. 1 on the business and education chart.

* Whoopi Goldberg is now three for three. Her movies--”Jumpin’ Jack Flash,” “The Color Purple” and now “Burglar”--have made the Top 10 of the Billboard magazine rental chart this year. Now perched at No. 6, “Burglar” made it in just two weeks.
