A San Francisco federal court judge has rejected a Navy request to push a floating peace demonstration out of sight and sound of the reviewing stand at Saturday’s Fleet Week ceremony. “You can’t limit free speech,” said Senior U.S. District Judge Alfonso Zirpoli before ordering the Coast Guard to allow the “Peace Navy” within 25 yards of a pier where Navy dignitaries, reporters and the public will gather to watch the passing ships. The Navy wanted a 75-yard security zone, which was imposed for the first time last year.
