A new Disney tradition was inaugurated on the Walt Disney Studios lot Tuesday when Fred MacMurray became the first star to place his handprints and signature in the wet cement of the Disney Legends Promenade. MacMurray, star of “The Shaggy Dog,” “The Absent-Minded Professor” and other Disney films, also received a plaque from Disney chairman and chief executive officer Michael Eisner. The promenade is on Dopey Drive--in front of the studio’s theater--on the Burbank lot.
