Seal Beach : Man Killed in Crash on Freeway Identified

Officials identified Henry Kinolau, 66, of Cerritos as the man who died on the San Diego Freeway in a traffic collision, but a preliminary autopsy Tuesday did not reveal the cause of death.

The California Highway Patrol initially reported that Kinolau had died of a “major coronary heart attack” while traveling through Seal Beach on Monday afternoon. But an autopsy Tuesday did not reveal the cause of death, which won’t be known until further tests are completed, a deputy coroner said.

Kinolau was driving north on the San Diego Freeway when he crashed his automobile into a car-carrier tractor-trailer rig, the CHP reported. There were no passengers in the man’s car, and no one else was injured.
