Linear Corp., a Carlsbad-based manufacturer of wireless home security systems and automatic garage door openers, reported net income of $891,000 on sales of $13.7 million for its first quarted ended Aug. 31. A year earlier, Linear had net income of $1,030,000 on sales of $13.7 million.
