Architectural drawings, plans and models based on entries in the 1985 competition to design a new Phoenix government center will be displayed Tuesday through Dec. 13 at UCLA’s Wight Art Gallery.

More than 100 of the world’s architects submitted entries for the development of a 12-block area east of the Arizona State Capitol.

Highlighting the exhibit will be presentations of the four finalists: Ricardo Legoretta, Mexico City; Michael Graves, Princeton; Arata Isozaki, Tokyo, and the winner, UCLA architecture professor Barton Myers, who has offices in Los Angeles and Toronto.
