Sam Bowie, the Portland Trail Blazers center whose injuries have kept him sidelined through much of his basketball career, is in the hospital again with a broken right leg.

Bowie suffered the injury Saturday night during a warm-up before the Blazers’ first exhibition game.

The injury was to the same spot where his leg was broken Nov. 7 in a game against Dallas causing him to miss all but the first five games last season, Blazers spokesman John Lashway said. Lashway said no decision had been made regarding surgery.
