The Soviet national basketball team defeated Tracer Milan of Italy, 135-108, to advance to the finals of the McDonald’s Basketball Open in Milwaukee. The Soviet team will play the Milwaukee Bucks this afternoon, the first meeting ever between a Soviet team and a National Basketball Assn. team.
Aleksandr Volkov scored 28 points and Sharunas Marchulenis had 24 for the Soviets. Ex-Laker Bob McAdoo had 41 for Tracer Milan.
