TWA has created an international Value-Pak program (the airline already has a domestic version) that provides a coupon booklet with discounts on hotels, restaurants, car rentals and sightseeing, if you fly to Europe or Israel.

Your round-trip flights have to be completed by next March 31, when the coupons expire, to receive the booklet.

More than 80 coupon offers cover 16 TWA cities: London, Paris, Lisbon, Madrid, Barcelona, Rome, Milan, Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, Stockholm, Brussels, Copenhagen, Frankfurt, Munich, West Berlin and Stuttgart.

The 45 hotels that are part of the program, offering 50% discounts off regular rates. Among the chains participating are Sheraton and Novotel.

Hertz rental cars also are available at 50% discounts off regular time and mileage/kilometer rates.

Reservations may be required for hotel and car rentals. You have to identify yourself as a coupon holder before making the reservation, as these discounts are on an availability basis. The coupon offer can be invalidated otherwise.

Coupons also have to be presented when you check in at a hotel or pick up your car. Showing your TWA tickets also will be necessary. Taxes and other charges are extra.

Some of the coupons are on a two-for-price-of-one basis. For example, at restaurants the second main course is free. The free main course will always be the least expensive of the two or more main courses ordered. You should present your coupon when ordering.

Two-for-one admissions are offered at such sightseeing attractions as the Centre Georges Pompidou and Montparnasse Tower in Paris, and assorted plays in London’s West End theater district.
