San Diego
Four juvenile vandals and an adult accomplice caused more than $100,000 in damage Saturday night by spray-painting 65 San Diego city vehicles, San Diego police reported.
The juveniles were arrested at the scene by two police officers but the adult escaped arrest, police spokesman Rick Carlson said.
He said the group snuck into a city operations yard, at the corner of 20th Avenue and B Street, through a drainage ditch and were caught in the act about 10:30 p.m. Saturday by two patrol officers.
The juveniles were aged 12, 14, 16 and 17.
The youngsters face charges of felony vandalism, Carlson said.
