A Pico Rivera man was arrested on suspicion of felony drunk driving after he changed lanes in his van at high speed on the Santa Ana freeway early Sunday and collided with a sports car, seriously injuring the woman driver, authorities said.
Gabriel Alfredo Garcia, 23, treated for minor injuries at Western Medical Center in Santa Ana, then booked into the Orange County Jail, a California Highway Patrol spokeswoman said.
Jan Carol Moore, 25, of Anaheim, identified as the driver of the sports car, was rushed to UCI Medical Center in the City of Orange, where she was treated for a heart contusion, the CHP reported. Moore was listed in stable condition at the hospital Sunday afternoon, a hospital spokeswoman said.
