Victoria Principal’s invasion-of-privacy suit against Joan Rivers was delayed again Wednesday, this time because attorneys for the two are squabbling over which star gets to submit the first deposition. The suit alleges that Rivers, while hosting her syndicated late-night talk show for Fox TV, announced Principal’s confidential phone number to millions of viewers and several times tried to call her “with the express intent of asking . . . embarrassing questions about her personal and private life.” The already numerous delays due to the two stars’ scheduling problems led Superior Court Commissioner Kent Bridwell to suggest during Wednesday’s brief hearing that the suit could “turn into a donnybrook.” The case was rescheduled to Wednesday.
