Kris Kristofferson still hasn’t made a promised donation to a Vietnam veterans’ group in Albany, N.Y., but his manager takes the blame. Kristofferson offended the veterans last summer when a plaque given him after a benefit performance was later found in the trash. Kristofferson said the plaque was left behind by mistake and offered a donation by way of apology. Manager Vernon White, says it was his fault and promised to see that the check--for an undisclosed amount--is sent.
