Six-year veteran Lee Cornwell of the Los Angeles Lazers has been waived by the Major Indoor Soccer League team, the club announced.
Cornwell, who joined the Lazers in 1982, was the only member of the 1982-83 inaugural team still playing. He began his soccer career with the Baltimore Blast in 1981.
“It was a tough decision for everyone. Lee had been a fixture here and always did a fantastic job for the team on and off the field,” said Coach Keith Tozer.
