Earlier Friday, Garden Grove police arrested Roger Lee Robinson, 21, who was wanted in connection with the same escape and robbery. Information found in the stolen van Robinson had been driving led police to believe that Howell was in Corona.

Robinson is being held in Orange County Jail in lieu of $100,000 bail.

Police said Howell and Robinson are suspects in the robbery of a Coco’s Family Restaurant on Wednesday night.

Two robbers herded the female customers into a restroom and the men into a freezer--turning off the refrigeration--and bound and robbed them of about $4,500, police said.
