Harvey Martin, former All-Pro defensive end for the Dallas Cowboys, was arrested and jailed on two warrants for bounced checks, police said.

Martin, 36, who was selected All-Pro once and named to the Pro Bowl four times, spent four hours in the Lew Sterrett Justice Center before released on a $200 pre-trial bond and $299.50 for fines and court costs concerning another check case, officials said.

In September 1986, Martin appeared in a Dallas County criminal court because of a bounced check and was given probation and ordered to pay a $50 fine and $72 in court cost, said Jim Ewell, a spokesman for the Dallas County Sheriff’s office.

When Martin failed to pay, the court issued a warrant for his arrest.

Ewell said Martin was charged in another check case about six weeks ago.
