Local News in Brief : Murder Charges Sought
Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies said Wednesday that they will seek murder charges against the father of an 18-month-old Carson girl who died from injuries she received in a beating last weekend.
The toddler, Letticia Roseman, was found by paramedics Sunday badly beaten in her father’s home, Deputy Hal Grant said. Letticia suffered “multiple injuries about her entire body,” he said.
As the girl was rushed by ambulance to Los Angeles County Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, Benjamin Roseman, 24, was arrested on suspicion of felony child abuse, Grant said.
Letticia died in the hospital from her injuries at 5:40 p.m. Tuesday.
Roseman was being held without bail Wednesday at the Carson sheriff’s substation, Grant said.
