Local News in Brief : Warner Center Traffic Effect to Be Studied
The Los Angeles City Council on Tuesday approved spending $174,331 to study the effect on traffic of future development in Warner Center.
The study was requested by Councilwoman Joy Picus, whose district includes the growing West San Fernando Valley commercial and residential center.
It will examine the traffic impact of the development plan for Warner Center and recommend measures to lessen it, such as requiring developers to pay for street widenings.
The study, expected to be completed in about a year, will be conducted by the consulting firm of Kaku Associates.
