Fair, Warmer in Wake of Storm

The trailing edge of a cold front moving south through Central California spread some sprinkles and light rain into Southern California on Tuesday, but forecasters said rainfall was expected to be light and clearing skies are expected today.

High pressure aloft is expected to build over the Southland in the wake of the storm, leading to fair and warmer weather for the next few days, according to WeatherData Inc., which provides forecasts for The Times.

There was no measurable rain at Los Angeles Civic Center by late Tuesday afternoon, the National Weather Service said. Total rainfall for the season stood at 3.58 inches, a bit less than the 3.59 inches that had fallen by this time last year. Normal rainfall to date is 1.56 inches.
