San Diego
An unidentified man was in serious condition Tuesday night after the motorcycle he was riding collided with a police car responding to an emergency call in Linda Vista.
San Diego Police Lt. Connie Van Putten said Officer John Smith, with his red lights and siren on, drove through a stoplight at Linda Vista Road and Comstock Street about 8:20 p.m. when his car collided with the motorcyclist.
The driver of the motorcycle was being treated for a possible collapsed lung at Sharp Memorial Hospital, Van Putten said.
