Jacumba
A Jacumba man was sentenced to four months in a halfway house Tuesday for falsely reporting a $17,500 charitable donation on his 1982 federal income tax return.
John F. Dziubala, a pilot for Flying Tiger Airlines, also was ordered to pay a $50,000 fine. U.S. District Judge Rudi M. Brewster suspended a three-year prison term.
Dziubala had pleaded guilty in September to submitting a false document supporting the contribution to the Internal Revenue Service during an audit of his 1982 tax return. He faced up to five years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
