Baseball Cardinals to Increase Ticket Prices
The St. Louis Cardinals, who led the major leagues this past season by drawing a club-record 3,072,122 fans, will increase their ticket prices by $1 for the 1988 season.
Under the new price structure, box-seat prices will increase to $10.50 and reserve-seat prices to $8. Busch Stadium general admission for baseball will be $5 and bleacher seats $4.
St. Louis will open its 1988 season on April 4 at Cincinnati, marking the Cardinals’ first opener against the Reds since 1957. It is also St. Louis’ second-earliest opening date.
No doubleheaders are on the defending National League champion’s schedule. St. Louis’ home opener is April 8 against the Pittsburgh Pirates.
