Opera tenor Jose Carreras--listed in good condition after receiving a bone-marrow transplant to treat his leukemia--is spending his time riding a stationary bike, sleeping and reading, Seattle hospital officials said this week. The Spanish singer received the transplant Nov. 16 to treat the cancer that was diagnosed in July while Carreras was filming “La Boheme” in Paris. Carreras is scheduled to undergo a test Monday to check for cell growth; the same procedure will be repeated Dec. 7 and Dec. 14.
