Trout Plant Brings Out Big Striped Bass

Share

The recent trout plant at Silverwood Lake in Riverside County has caused big striped bass to become active, and some anglers have been actively taking fish weighing well over 20 pounds.

Jay Anderson of Riverside paid a visit to Miller Canyon and was rewarded with a 32-pound striper he caught on his homemade surface lure.

Danny Stinson of Redlands had a productive day as well, catching two stripers weighing 22 and 24 pounds. Stinson was fishing near the marina, which becomes an especially popular spot after a trout plant as the bigger stripers feed on the smaller trout.
