Clubs and civic organizations are staging a table-decorating contest with special viewings of the creations beginning at 7:30 p.m. on Mondays and Fridays. Admission is canned food or cash donations to the food drive. The tables may also be viewed at other times during store hours.

Clarence W. (Buddy) Ray, executive director of the Community Development Council, said the food gathered by the retailers and distributed by the council will be used to feed the estimated 383,000 people in the county who might not have enough to eat during the holidays.
