A Continental Airlines flight from Logan International Airport was held up late Saturday after one of the 109 passengers told a flight attendant there was a bomb aboard the jetliner, police said Sunday.

The plane was evacuated and searched, but no bomb was found. The passenger, Christopher Merrill, 21, of Tucson, was arrested on charges of interfering with aircraft operations and falsely reporting the presence of a bomb, police said.
