Local News in Brief : McMartin Testimony
The first boy to testify at the McMartin Pre-School molestation trial said Monday that the chief defendant fondled him, made him play naked games and drove him to a house where he was photographed in the nude.
The child, now 11 years old, is the third former student of McMartin Pre-School to testify that former teacher Raymond Buckey molested pupils. Two girls previously gave similar testimony.
The boy testified that Buckey, 29, fondled him while he played a naked game, “horsey,” inside the Manhattan Beach school.
“Ray touched me. . . . I know it was more than once, definitely,” the child testified.
Buckey and his mother, Peggy McMartin Buckey, 60, are on trial in Los Angeles Superior Court on one count of conspiracy and 99 counts of child molestation for allegedly sexually assaulting 14 of their students at the now-closed preschool from 1978 to 1983.
