“Real Time.” Richard Lloyd. Celluloid. Despite a couple of solo albums, the other guitarist from Television has an even lower profile than his former band-mate Tom Verlaine--who isn’t exactly People magazine cover material himself. This live recording (made earlier this year at C.B.G.B.’s in New York) captures an increasingly confident and clear-eyed Lou Reed disciple (he’s even re-written “Sweet Jane” and called it “The Only Feeling”) whose rock romanticism and rapturous solos compensate for the inconsistency of the songwriting. The last three tracks (“Watch Yourself,” “Lousin Anna” and “Black to White”) are CD-only items. Everything else on this loose, limber and live recording has been on Lloyd’s solo LPs except “Fire Engine,” which used to be part of Television’s live show. ***
