Navistar International posted a profit of $54 million for the fourth quarter, a turnaround from a loss of $50 million a year ago. The Chicago company credited an increase in sales and lower interest costs. Revenue rose 8% to $1 billion. The truck and engine maker said its interest expenses were reduced by $22 million during the quarter because of a recapitalization program.
