Air Quality
I was appalled by the article (Part I, Nov. 13) which stated that the EPA is considering plans to give an extension of 25 years for eradicating air pollution in the Los Angeles basin. I am a senior citizen and would like to enjoy the rest of my years breathing clean air.
Where are our priorities? In my book, health has always been number one. In the Los Angeles area we have the largest concentration of top-notch doctors in the world yet we are doing very little to prevent respiratory ailments. It is ironical that both the cause of these ailments and their treatment are in the same locale.
