North Dakota Senator Hospitalized After Fall

FARGO, N.D. — Sen. Quentin N. Burdick (D-N.D.) was admitted to Saint Luke’s Hospital on Monday for observation after falling on ice and hitting the back of his head while boarding a plane. Burdick, 79, is chairman of the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee and a member of a Senate appropriations subcommittee.
