Dana Chairs Supervisors
Supervisor Deane Dana today became chairman of the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors today succeeding Supervisor Mike Antonovich. He assumed the position automatically, moving up from chairman pro tem.
As head of the five-member board, Dana said he will urge county departments to set “shirt-sleeve priorities” for county programs that are now competing for dollars. Supervisor Ed Edelman was elected chairman pro tem and stands in line to succeed Dana next year.
