USC quarterback Rodney Peete was selected as the MVP of the Trojan football team at its banquet Sunday night.

Peete was also chosen as the Offensive Player of the Year and Senior cornerback Greg Coauette was voted Defensive Player of the year and Special Teams Player of the Year. Coauette also shared the Gloomy Gus Henderson award for most minutes played along with offensive tackle Dave Cadigan. Fullback Leroy Holt was voted Most Inspirational.
