Must Gwynn Do It All for MVP Consideration?
I keep waiting to read words of indignation over Tony Gwynn’s eighth-place finish in the National League MVP voting. When I read that Andre Dawson won it, I thought, well, Tony must have placed second. Third? In the top five? Nope. Even worse is the fact that nobody seemed to notice this slight except Gwynn himself. What does Gwynn have to do, win the Gold Glove at all positions and the batting title?
