Rob Boyd of Canada edged Pirmin Zurbriggen of Switzerland to win the World Cup downhill race at Val Gardena, Italy for the second straight year.
Boyd moved into third place in the overall World Cup point standings with 36 points. Zurbriggen is second with 49. Alberto Tomba of Italy leads with 50.
