Attorneys general from more than 40 states approved tightening airline advertising regulations to stop misleading information about frequent flier discounts. The National Assn. of Attorneys General guidelines to regulate airline industry advertising will put the industry under the same scrutiny as other businesses, a spokesman at the organization’s annual conference said. The standards will go into effect today.
