The Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation is celebrating its 50th anniversary with a New York exhibition of masterworks--paintings, sculpture and works on paper--from its holdings. The exhibition, “Fifty Years of Collecting: An Anniversary Selection,” consists of about 425 works from the two museums administered by the foundation, the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum in New York and the Peggy Guggenheim Collection in Venice, Italy. The exhibition will be on view through March 13, 1988, in the New York museum’s Frank Lloyd Wright building.
