Pacificenter, a $90-million mixed-use commercial and industrial development, has opened in Santa Ana.
A project of Santa Fe Pacific Realty Corp., Pacificenter is being built over eight to 10 years on 123 acres on Grand Avenue just south of Edinger Avenue. Designed for high-tech, office and back-office operations, the development also will have such support services as restaurants, a fully equipped health club and a day-care center.
The master plan calls for 15 buildings with about 2.7 million square feet of space. McDonnell Douglas, which purchased 53 acres there last year, is already building a 365,000-square-foot facility for its Information Services Group.
Other projects under development include a 70,000-square-foot build-to-suit facility; a 57,000-square-foot multi-tenant building; a three-story, 85,000-square-foot office building, and a food plaza.
