Local News in Brief : $64,000 Robbery at Store
Two armed men attacked an armored-truck driver Tuesday on the sales floor of a Diamond Bar K mart and robbed him of $64,000, authorities said.
Driver Ralph Lincoln, 50, was not injured when the two men knocked him down as he walked from the sales office to the parking lot of the store at 249 S. Diamond Bar Blvd., Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Sgt. Bryan Williams said.
The men grabbed the bag, which held about $64,000 in checks and cash, then escaped in a brown van with a yellow stripe, Sgt. Bill Borngrebe said.
